GaaLee is my #1 OTP of ALL TIME. I will probably drool over anything you write for them, genuinely. I love when people expand on the little bit of worldbuilding we get in the Naruto 'verse, especially when it comes to Suna. I love darker twists on their relationship, but I love them wholesome too! I can see Gaara's guilt over how he hurt Lee interfering with him being willing to share his feelings, and I can see Lee's inferiority complex (not being able to do ninjutsu/genjutsu, difference in status) preventing him from being willing to share his feelings! I can see Gaara's lack of social skills make him really uncertain about how he really feels, and likewise I can see bisexual disaster Lee not being sure if he's really in love because he tends to fall hard for everyone. Arranged marriage tropes seem to fit particularly well for this pairing given the events of Gaara Shinden. The "Fake Perfect World" prompt could easily be something that happens in the Infinite Tsukuyomi! I love mutual pining and pining while fucking especially; feel free to go as angsty as you want!!

I am truly, truly obsessed with this pairing ever since watching the Queen Charlotte miniseries. I think there's tons of potential for pining between the two of them in a pre-QC series setting as well as during the times they're separated/at odds during the series, or after the King moves permanently to Kew in a post-series setting. For pre-series I could see there being a lot of doubt and hesitancy and faltering given that there wasn't a good way to just come out and say "hey I'm gay and I like you" since it was a hangable offense - lots of opportunity for sexual tension! I also love the period where they aren't sure if the other is serious about them (the "other riders" conversation), which could lead to a lot of delicious pining in a "am I more serious about this relationship than he is?" sense.

I just love this ship, and there's so much potential for them with this concept! With their previous rivalry/one-sided hateship, there's tons of opportunity for Inasa to pine. Though I've been fixating on Whiskey Trio a little more lately. I am unfortunately way too fixated on Akam to just ship Furuya and Hiro, but I do adore them. Every kind of worldbuilding around paranormal/psychic stuff in this universe is so very welcome, whether it's the institutional stuff like Rosenkreuz and what they went through there or more personal stuff like how their own powers work, how they interact with each other's. I love how these guys are both just ... super not okay, emotionally, and I can't help but think that would lead to a glorious clusterfuck if they were thrown together. I feel like the similarities between Kazuichi and Gundham's initial defense mechanisms (drastically changing their appearances, inventing a new persona) don't get explored enough in canon which is sad because I would LOVE something that looked at that and how their reactions to canon were so glaringly different, with Gundham doubling down on chuuni life even into death and Kazuichi not able to keep up his chill punk bro mode for more than 30 seconds after Monokuma showed up. It's also interesting to me how so much of what Kazuichi does still seems to be driven by he thinks people expect him to want or be! They're both just trying very hard to be cool for ludicrously different values of the word cool. And then there's Sonia, who wants to be normal, whose social context is so far divorced from normal in so many ways, who intersects so exactly with what both of them think they need to do to defensively Be Cool in their terribly different ways (have a blonde pretty high status GF / be 'powerful' and 'knowledgeable' and loud about the occult). I just feel like all three of them together have such important things to contribute to the conversation/relationship, especially post-canon where suddenly being a badass, being evil, idolizing serial killers, etc is probably no longer so attractive due to what they've done as Despairs, when they have so much coping/healing to do.
Also, imagine: Post-SDR2, Sonia and Gundham are officially together, Kazuichi (with Hajime's help?) finally realizes that he thinks dudes are hot too OH NO THEY'RE BOTH HOT LIFE IS SO UNFAIR (rolls around on floor clutching beanie)

Being able to say, and so easily hear, "What does it matter as long as we're together?" and gaze into each others' eyes with perfect trust, just showing how comfortable and supportive and easy they are in that last scene, Joan asking Sherlock to comment on her wig, Sherlock touching Joan's arm just before they go into the office together... they don't 100% canonically establish that Joan and Sherlock are living together (and co-parenting together to *some* degree) but surely they must be??
Basically any level of romance and/or sex would be great-- romance without sex? "Fake" marriage that stays fake except it starts feeling super domestic and tender but maybe they try having sex (or don't) but realize they don't have to be sexually involved to be loving life partners who permanently commit to spending their lives together? Despite the comedic tone of canon I feel like there's SO MUCH possibility for pining here!! Especially for pre-canon high school age or young adult Gus/Shawn, maybe set while Shawn was travelling the world and only briefly appearing and disappearing out of Gus' life?
My view of their relationship in canon is that Shawn truly loves Gus in every possible way, and he knows this about himself, but has kind of shoved it to the back of the closet because he thinks Gus wouldn't go for it. Possibly Gus has even romantically rejected Shawn in the past and insisted that it would never work and they should stay friends only, and then slowly his feelings evolve and he doesn't know how to express that he's changed his mind!
Alternately, Gus either doesn't think Shawn is truly serious and it would be just a fling for him, or is worried that if they tried, it would go badly and ruin their friendship forever. But I could see other versions too, like Shawn just not being aware that his feelings are romantic/sexual in nature because... isn't this how everyone feels about their best friends? Right? No?

The slow development of this bond was fucking everything to me. Rowena was fucking terrible at the start and did so many terrible things to the Winchesters & Co, and then SPN gave her such a fucking awesome arc, chipping away at the villain thing bit by miniscule bit until she was their ally, and the relationship between her and Sam was a gigantic part of that. Them discussing their similar trauma and offering comfort was so sweet and so rare for Sam to get, and I absolutely adored how Rowena was drawing out Sam's witchy side!! They came to care for each other so deeply, and I genuinely believe that if she'd been around a little longer they would've eventually gotten to sharing an actual kiss, or an intimate moment such as that. And, fuck, how heartbroken Sam was by her death!!! It fucking destroyed him!!! And Rowena going on to become Queen of Hell??? So fucking awesome. I loved how, despite being so sharp and caustic, Kavinsky really was desperate to have Roman at his side. He wanted Roman to understand and could not believe that Roman didn't. He wanted connection with another dreamer. There's this quote I really love from Doctor Who and I feel like it fits Kavinsky too: “You burned like a sun. Like a whole screaming world on fire.” Kavinsky burned bright and hot and like a fucking screaming world, and he just wanted Roman to see it all too. Frankly, he also just really wanted Roman, and TDT really got away with a Lot of sexual things for a YA book, hot damn. About the canon: The End of the Fucking World is an E4 dark comedy (Netflix US claims it's an original series but it's E4 I promise) with 2 seasons of 8 episodes each.
It features a 17 year old boy who is convinced he is a psychopath (he isn’t) and an angry 17 year old girl who has very poor control over her emotions. They run away from home as he plots her murder. Complications arise.
the CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! the codependence!!!! they're really honestly not good for each other AND YET!!! something something trauma bonds but it's deeper than that!!! and JAMES going from "lol i guess i'm a psychopath bc i don't feel things" to just crying at the drop of a hat? (especially as it pertains to Alyssa?) delicious!!
I love both of the main characters a lot and would be just as happy with a character study as I would with shippy fic. We see a lot of where they came from, and while there are a few gaps during canon, I think for this request, I'm mostly interested in post-canon.
Does Alyssa actually get therapy? (Does James ever get therapy? bc goddamn boy it is not NORMAL or GOOD to kill your emotions after your mom kills herself in front of you!) Does it actually work? Do they stay together (at this point I just don't think they can function without each other tbh)? What does their future look like?
I'm okay with smut for this request, but I'd prefer anything happen either Before Clive Koch comes back to the house, or after Alyssa has had some serious therapy. I LOVE these books!! Of the three so far, A Rogue of One’s Own was by far my favorite (I’m a sucker for childhood anything extending into adulthood, and for enemies to lovers, and for enemies that aren’t really enemies, and man this book had it ALL!)

About the canon: The Cabots is a series of novellas (and... one novel? i think Daniel's counts as a novel), focusing on an affluent American political family (they’re not the Kennedys, but they’re not-not the Kennedys) who happen to have several LGBT members among them. They’re set in the 1950s-70s, but they all have happy, hopeful endings.
I love all of these boys so much!
I love how Peter so desperately wants to be seen as himself and not who he’s connected to - to the point of telling Ernie Walsh that he doesn’t want him to introduce him to Caleb to avoid letting even that color someone else’s (in this case Caleb’s) opinion of him. I love that he tips servers so much, that he’s just so nice, in spite of who his family wants him to be.
I love how Caleb is prickly as a means of self-preservation; he can’t let his guard down around most people, but he eventually does around Peter (to his initial mortification). I find the conflict he has between loving his hometown and knowing they wouldn’t love him if they knew he was gay (despite being proud of him for being smart and getting into Harvard) so compelling!
I like how both Peter and Caleb feel like outsiders - and not just because they’re gay - and how they manage to carve out small safe spaces where they can fully be themselves. I do genuinely love how their relationship progresses - like, everything about it, and especially their mutual anxiety about what’ll happen when they get to Los Angeles.
I also adore the Peter Cabot epilogue and the holiday special - the glimpses of their life together in LA!
For Daniel and Alex, again, I just want more of them! I love the adhd/autism pairing and I love how Daniel never shuts up and just has no filter and Alex loves him for it, and Alex is kind of tight-laced and has his set routines and Daniel just totally gets it and lets him be himself without pushing his boundaries too much.
AND THEIR FAMILIES!!! The fact that the Savchenkos love Daniel as they would a son-in-law and that Daniel’s parents love Alex (and Patty and Alex meeting up all the time!!! I love it!!!) and it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

About the canon: This is a series of three romance novels; to my knowledge they retail at around $7 USD each from most major booksellers. My request focuses primarily on the second and third instalments, A Gentleman Never Keeps Score and Two Rogues Make A Right - other instalment is not needed for this request (but it is very good!)
I am the world’s biggest sucker for friends to lovers, and I read Two Rogues Make a Right twice within a week of its release because I just love it so much.
I love Martin and Will and how they interact with each other and their trauma and their shitty fathers and bad upbringings. I love how prickly Martin is (and the teasing affection he has for Will!), and how soft and caring Will is. Martin is probably my favorite of the two, if I had to pick. I could write an entire essay on how much I love him.
I love the backstory between Martin, Will, and Hartley - the tragedy of how they were so close as children but torn apart by Martin's awful father. I'd be happy with something with them set before that happened, or moving forward as adults (as we do see Hartley's disdain for Martin soften considerably, and Martin does his best to make amends).
That said, please feel free to lay on the trauma as well! As long as it has a happy ending. their entire book was pretty much hurt/comfort and I loved it.
I do like all of the characters, and would be happy to see Ben and Phillip (and their kids), Sam, Kate, Nick, Lady Bermondsey - literally just about any of the supporting cast tbh - included if you'd like to!

About the canon: Spinning Silver is a standalone fantasy novel by Naomi Novik. While the main character is ostensibly Miryem Mandelstam (and I love Miryem), the book really follows three female characters in an interconnected story using Jewish and Eastern European (specifically Lithuanian and Polish) folklore. My request focuses on Irina, a duke's daughter who is one quarter Staryk (ice people), and Mirnatius, the tsar of all Lithvas (fantasy Lithuania).
I unironically absolutely adore Mirnatius. Yes. He is awful. He is spoiled and rotten and misogynistic and a little evil, but I love him. Pathetic, miserable men with mommy issues are my favorite ♥ if you decide to spend 10k on just his mommy issues alone I will love you forever (I mean, his mom sold his soul to a demon, like the mommy issues are legit and extreme).
I also love Irina! She’s probably my favorite of the ladies. I really really love the relationship between Irina and Mirnatius; I think it’s super interesting and I love examining how they grow to treat each other from their initial mutual resentment and even hatred of each other.
Mirnatius and Irina are two people whose parents flat-out never loved them. Irina was fortunate enough to have Magreta to show her unconditional love (I suspect that Mirnatius’s brother’s love was perhaps not so unconditional). I’d really like to see how they could grow to show each other genuine affection and perhaps even trust each other.
